An autumnal handfasting elopement

Autumn, with its warm and earthy tones, has long been associated with romance and new beginnings. It is a season of change, where nature transforms itself in preparation for the colder months ahead. For couples who choose to tie the knot during this time, autumn represents a symbolic transition into a new chapter of their lives together.

Autumn is absolutely my favourite time of year for photographing elopements. The colours are so very beautiful, and the light that bit softer. Elaine and Jakub chose the wonderful setting of the Dell of Abernethy for their handfasting ceremony. Surrounded by vibrant foliage and a tranquil setting, the couple exchanged their vows in a deeply romantic ceremony. This intimate celebration perfectly captured the essence of love and nature coming together.

The Dell of Abernethy, known for its breathtaking beauty, provided the ideal backdrop for this special occasion. With its charming woodland and captivating landscapes, it created an atmosphere of pure enchantment. As the rich hues of autumn painted the surroundings, Jakub and Elaine with nature as their witness embarked on their journey together, promising eternal love and devotion.

Immersed in the beauty of nature and the love they shared, this autumnal hand fasting elopement at the Dell of Abernethy was a testament to the power of intimate and heartfelt celebrations.

Autumnal weddings provide a unique opportunity to incorporate the rich colours and textures of the season into your attire and styling and I particularly loved Elaine’s amazing Harris tweed jumpsuit designed by one of my favourite Bridal designers Rowanjoy which was so fitting for this occasion. Elaine and Jakub opted to not include a video in their elopement packages which is also something that we can offer our couples. Here are some of my favourite images from this very special day…
